New Critic In North West Arkansas

Athletic Club,Springdale

One of the establishments that I visit most often is, the "Athletic Club" located inside the Holiday Inn, Sprindale. (1500 S 48th St.Springdale, AR 72762.(479) 751-8300.) www.holidayinnspringdale.com . This place really has a nice friendly and family atmoshpere. Its a place where you can go to get good food and drink at a good price. It has a full bar and a great menu. It is a sports bar/grill, with 4 huge big screens for watching your favorite sports. (mine are the Hogs) It also has family entertainment of video games,foosball table, basketball hoop game, pool table, etc. Its a place where you can go to get a drink and a bite to eat if you just want to watch the game, or you can take the whole family for a night out. I think they still have poker nights also. The food is very good. The staff are very helpful and friendly. When you go make sure you try the "Nachos" but please, make sure you are hungry or have some friends to help you eat them. They are served as a "mountain" of nachos.

Crazy Horse Saloon

Visited the "Crazy Horse Saloon" last Saturday. Located just West of Prairie Grove, AR. on HWY 62 West. They were having a benefit poker run for two little boys who had been killed in a house fire. I cant say enough about these good people who came together for one of their patrons. The poker run was specifically to raise money for funeral expences, etc. for the family. From what I understand this is not the first time they have done this. When the folks at "Crazy Horse Saloon" hear of a need, they come to help.
They threw a big BBQ feed as well as Barn Dance with local bands. Everyone involved donated something, time, product, or just good ole green backs. The food was great, the beer was cold, and the music was loud.( All the things you need for a great time)Considering the circumstances of the benefit, everyone had a good time and was happy to help out in whatever way they could. Keep up the good work guys !!!

Coffee & Deli Creations

Visited "Coffee & Deli Creations", located in Farmington AR. Behind the First Federal Bank.
This is a very nice little place. The Coffee is excellent. The Deli serves very good fresh sandwichs, And the pastry is excellent. The staff is very helpful, polite and pleasant. As an extra bounus, which you dont find much anymore, if you should come in more than a few times, they usually remember what your favorite java brew is. Oh, if you should need to check your E-mail while waiting for your coffee, no problem, they have one PC system located near the back of the deli just for that. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. The prices of their creations is just right. So if you need a cup of joe, a sandwich, pastry, smoothie, or a peaceful place to do all the above plus just read the newspaper, and your in the Farmington, AR. area, this is the place to go.
